Residents Encouraged to Voice Opinions on Bicycle Parking Project
The City of Waterloo is embarking on a new project to create a secure bicycle-parking facility and to produce a map outlining local bikeways. Residents can have their say on what both elements will look like by taking a short online survey.
We want to know:
- Where you’d like to see the parking structure installed.
- What kind of facility it should be.
- What format the map should take.
- And more!
The city received funding from the Ministry of Transportation Ontario’s Transportation Demand Management grant program to cover half the costs associated with this project. It’s anticipated that a public consultation workshop will be held in September 2010 and construction will be completed in the fall.
