1:49:2131-Oct-11My back was giving me problems today so had to take longer breaks then i would have liked to but still better then my last time so just got to keep at it i guess
Female 30-39
1:55:3217-Aug-115.5Km ride to the trail, luckily no head wind today. My first time doing the whole circuit, so ended up doing the chicken run. Now I know what I'm in for next time! Glad I quit smoking!
Female 40-49
1:35:225-Oct-11Started loop at 5:45pm, but I really got to start the loop a lot earlier before sunset. Got dark on Kamikazee, but I had lights this time. Took a spill into a thorn bush getting back onto my bike after the fallen tree on Scrambler.
1:36:0027-Jul-11Weeds are tall enough to grab the handlebars!
Male 16-19
1:35:1223-Aug-11Felt like my brother and I were the only ones on the trails.
1:49:2131-Oct-11posted in the wrong group last time
1:51:3428-Aug-11Morning run not a lot of wind on the way to the trails today. Trails a little slippery in parts of Adams run. Also a lot happier with this time going to keep at and see how much i can get it down
2:10:1311-Aug-11I have to bike 9km to ride the trails and I was fighting the wind pretty much the whole way so I dont know how that would affect my time and this was my 4th or 5th time riding the whole trail hopeing to cut this time down quite a bit
Male 20-29
1:24:2811-Sep-11First ride after converting to 1x10 and wide riser bars on my 29.... felt great! trails were fast, no traffic and finished post sunset... Stopped to adjust shoe quickly, chain jump once and 1 near high speed crash coming too hot out of Kamikaze. Did 90% of the big rock features. I accidentally posted this on the female section - whoops! ignore that!
1:32:0530-Jul-11my first try at timing myself. Damn hot out. 6 years of university has made me out of shape and no smarter.
1:34:513-Nov-11Wasn't killing it full out but was riding solo at a brisk pace, very few people on the trails, good times.
1:35:3011-Aug-11Great conditions after the bit of rain this week, and the air cooling down. Still chose the easy line on Kamikaze but looking to try the hard one next time out.
1:39:5815-Jul-11First pass through, just trying to get it done. Took a couple of tries at the berms on sweet street (still not comfortable with those at speed). Also took the easy line on Kamikaze.
1:46:409-Jul-11AM run - perfect conditions. Been riding for almost 1 year now so hopefully I'll work my way up this list. I think it's time to invest in some clipless instead of platforms.
1:48:2120-Aug-11When my day started I wasn't sure how the ride was going to turn out. Once I was on the trails everything seemed to flow perfectly for me, only put my foot down on two occasions. Total rest time at start of Adam's Run and start of Twister was 0:1:58. I was determined to beat my original TT and I have accomplished this. Next time I need to break the 1:45:00 mark and only a few months left to do it.
1:52:2716-Jul-11First time attempting a time trial, and first time riding the complete trail network including Kamikaze high line(have always chickened out, but know I can do it now). Early morning ride, very low traffic, took 3 breaks totaling 3:16. My goal was 1:55 for my first time trial and am glad I was at it with the breaks and just under excluding them. If I didn't have to put my foot down a few times I think I could have been under 1:50, and as its my second season riding I will only get better.
Male 30-39
1:14:5118-Sep-11Beautiful day, I think I'm finally recovered physically and mentally from the 24hr. Haven't felt this comfortable on my bike in a while, stayed out of my head, let the bike just move around under me and thoroughly enjoyed the ride. A few traffic hold ups today but that's to be expected with such nice weather.
1:15:568-Sep-11Trails were great.
1:15:5827-Jul-11Cooler temps sure are nice! Evening lap, a good many riders in there but not much in the way of traffic for the most part. I think I got lucky with traffic timing, passing most in large groups while they were on a rest stop. Cant decide if the super dried out trails are good or bad, there is a good bit dry slip going on in there but its so hard packed it's fast fast fast.
1:17:0816-Jul-11Bike computer said 1:16:58, GPS/HRM said 1:17:17 so I split the difference. Holy crap it was hot in there today, at this temperature I'm not sure how much faster I could possibly expect out of myself. Afternoon ride, no traffic that really had any impact except for one I had to stop for on the rock pile on the two way trail between Money Boy and Double bypass. I just have to say I love my bike! I'll try for faster all year but I don't know if that can be done by me until the temp drops a touch. :)
1:17:2820-Aug-11Conditions were good, still hot. Fair amount of traffic, what else could you expect on a beautiful blue sky Saturday? Feeling a bit beat up today, it hurt enough that I thought I'd best my time but it looks like that will have to wait for another day. :)
1:18:4310-Oct-11Another cool sunrise TT. Minus the sightseeing and bitching over fallen leaves. But plus focus, hard work and more obstacles, as per request - and my first attempt at the frankenrock was a success! Rode all the obstacles except the twister rock (honest, I didn't see it till I was well past it) :-)
1:19:158-Oct-11Started at sunrise - got to be a first time for everything. Place looked all kinds of nice with the leaves floating down on the ground as I rode, in a - literally - whole new light. The Glasgow side had enough leaves on the ground that I felt low on grip and confidence. Glancing over my splits, I came out of Glasgow about 40 secs slower than my best. But getting over to the Pines, the small amount of needles were almost a non-issue, and having the whole place to myself in this beautiful light was an almost spiritual experience. Pushed harder than I have in a long time, including to the point of becoming slightly lightheaded on that last climb. Better lines, a 99% clean run (apart from a shoulder-rub) and hard work made up for lost time, and although only 1 second faster - it's still faster. Totally made my day.
1:19:1611-Sep-11Not holding back today :-) Trails were great, lots and lots of grip, almost no traffic, and no mudholes. Had two slowdowns due to unwanted pedal-to-plantlife contact... Will have to work some more on those lines (and it's getting more and more important at this pace).
1:19:424-Jul-11One lap only, daylight, mild traffic.
1:22:538-Sep-11Trails were good, but not great - less traction than I would have liked. No traffic. Was holding back a little bit - saving some power for lap 2 :-)
1:23:5411-Aug-11Finally chopped the bars on this bike and love it! Nice cool night for a ride, too. Traffic was wonderful, everybody had already pulled to the side and did not slow me down (THANK YOU). It got dark on the way home and I had forgotten to plug in my lights, so had to stop for a few secs (kept the watch running).
1:27:1711-Jul-11Slowly getting used to my new ride. Adjustments are helping, and I only got thrown off one time on this ride. Hot, dry and dusty, mild traffic. Pssst, Andrew - Sorry I didn't have time to stop and chat :-)
1:28:058-Sep-11What's better than a Hydrocut run? Two Hydrocut runs! LAP 2 time!! Had some slow-seeping air-loss in the rear and on Kamikaze it was so wallowy it needed a pump-up, so lost some time on that - somewhat disappointing as my split times until Kamikaze was only 44 secs behind Lap1. Well, still I completed two full laps in 2:51:49 including minimal water-break. Is noone else going to post some lap2 or 2lap times?
1:29:4330-Jun-11Lap2 time. (2 full laps incl snack break completed in 3:07:20). Daylight, perfect conditions.
1:32:397-Nov-11Finally timed myself. Stopped a couple times, and I chickened out on Kamikaze. Just cut my bars today to make it easier to fit through the trees, so much better.
1:36:3530-Aug-11
1:45:0012-Jul-11Sunny and 31 degrees. Also "recovering" from a 2 weeks vacation in Brazil :)
1:46:0019-Jul-11Started at 7pm. Hot but not unbearable. No traffic that got in my way. Don't know if I could go much faster. As for those who do it under 1:20 do you guys have a motor on your bikes?..haha Not bad I think for just starting Hydro this yr.
1:49:1711-Oct-11Started at 4:30pm, weather was fantastic and there was hardly anyone on the trails. First time ever riding the entire circuit without stopping to take a rest. I didn't hit every rock, root, jump or squirrel :) but for me this was a personal best.
Male 40-49
1:20:315-Aug-11Good conditions, overcast with even lighting, almost no traffic. Held back on the climbs a bit to avoid redline. Basically tried to turn off my brain and let it flow.
1:22:4519-Jun-11Excellent conditions during a mid-afternoon Sunday lap. Had a good singletrack day which always helps.
1:24:0426-Jul-11Perfect weather conditions and no traffic at all. To days earlier I did the trial in 1:27:24 and it was much more challenging because of hazy, humid weather.
1:24:588-Aug-11Perfect day for a ride!
1:25:2116-Jul-11Really hot afternoon (+30C). Went over my redline climbing on Adam's and took a while to recover. Trails much looser than a month ago. Average pulse 169bpm.
1:25:213-Jul-11I rode my Gary Fisher a number of times between Jun.16 and Jul.05. These are my times: Jun.16 - 1:29:24 Jun.19 - 1:28:18 Jun.20 - 1:25:49 Jun.26 - 1:29:30 Jun.29 - 1:27:55 Jul.01 - 1:25:59 Jul.03 - 1:25:21 Jul.05 - 1:27:40. Oh, and on Jun.28 I rode Pine side twice in 1:45:34. Can't resist to go strong - it happens to me every single time when I'm on the bike. Now I am back from my vacation in Bruce Peninsula and wonder how fast I can ride Hydro. Can not wait for the weather to get a bit cooler.
1:28:2014-Jul-11Damn, gotta go faster.....passed a bunch of riders smoking pot....was riding my homemade frame. Nice perfect conditions.
1:32:1023-Aug-11Nice temps, evening ride, rode the chicken-line, light traffic, 2nd ride on new bike
1:32:4311-Jul-11Hot day, dry trails, 26er dual suspension xc bike, started and stopped timing from the kiosk. Good fitness, not a great day for bike handling...
1:33:255-Nov-11Great TT :) Surprised myself... after working on the boardwalk most of the day with the awesome crew and stuffing my belly with two yummy burgers after (courtesy of King Street Cycles... thanks guys) I still had some energy left :) Great weather and pretty good trail conditions. Four errors and a few slip n' slides on the loose leaves and on the few greasy spots but otherwise fairly nice and hard packed trails. Six little set backs, four times a hiker with a dog and twice a hiker with cycling kids. Great ride and I even gunned it across the new boardwalk as fast as I could... even got some air LOL :) Luv it :) Compress, pull up and yeah... Raf-Air LOL :) Just make sure you stick the landing or you'll eat dirt :) Ride HardCore or stay home LOL :) Just Crank It!!! Rafael

1:34:009-Nov-11First time trying the TT and conditions could not be better! Okay considering I had a very hard crash into the trunk of a large tree on Adam's Run. Start/finish at the sign at the gate and rode every 'feature' that I know about.
1:34:4911-Aug-11As usual, after gunning the 7k to the trails and a few minutes rest to catch my breath and to check what that "ticking" sound was on my rear wheel... ha ha... so after removing one broken spoke and with the wheel out of true... off I went :) The trails were in excellent condition with only a couple soft/wet spots and the weather was just right. Every feature taken (I just can't make myself go around LOL) and four quick stops to take a drink (with time counting). A great time for me considering I was only intending to ride at a nice faster pace and not to race the trails LOL :) Thanks to the AWESOME! guys at Ziggy's Cycle for fixing my wheel so quick I am ready to roll again just in time for a night ride :) Happy Trails! Just Crank It!!! Raf
1:35:225-Oct-11Ignore the earlier "Female" entry - was a mistake. Started loop at 5:45pm, but really need to start a lot earlier before sunset. It got dark on Kamikazee, but I had lights this time. Took a spill into a thorn bush trying to get onto the bike after carrying it over the fallen tree on Scrambler. Scraped up good.
1:37:266-Sep-11Cooler temps and was going faster until it got too dark to see starting on Kamikazee. At this time of the year, you have to be done before 8pm. :(
1:38:008-Oct-11Early afternoon TT. Great weather, nice fast trails and only a hand full of riders to negotiate... with timer counting from Start to Finish. Five quick stops for a drink as I wont take a chance reaching for the bottle while racing LOL :) All features of course with a redo of the Twister rock as I got sloppy and bottomed out on the first try which is totally unacceptable to me LOL :) Also hit a new additional feature on Adam's Run which I never seen anyone do... the small one with a triangular rock approach. Overall a sweet ride except for the people who held me up on Kamikaze as they were shooting a video so lost a few seconds there. I have an idea... as I cannot in good conscience ever do a TT without doing all of the features on the trails why not offer a bonus for the riders who actually do them. It's only fair... it's risky, takes a little longer but for the few who dare do them there should be a reward for their extra effort in terms of time reduction. We can establish all the features as part of the TT and reduce the time accordingly for the riders who chose to do the TT the hard way :) Just Crank It!!! Rafael
1:38:391-Sep-11Adam's Run side of the hydrocut was pretty slick. Seemed to be having trouble staying on the bike.
1:39:066-Sep-11All at night including ALL the features... of course :) Decent trails, a little soft with few mud holes, got yanked off my bike twice when my light got snagged by low hanging branches and had one nasty fall when a branch I didn't notice on the trail threw me off my line... oops! LMFAO! So two dislocated and one fractured finger, bruised shoulder & ribs LOL :) The doc a the H said not to use my hand for at least a week... yeah right ha ha! The race is next week LOL :) Nothing beats a TT at night & especially the Kamikaze :) Just out of curiosity... it would be interesting to see the TTs posted with additional info such as bike type & weight, rider weight & rider experience on trails like ours :) I rode a 6G 22lb bike recently and it was more like flying than riding so it hardly seems fair comparing my time to someone very experienced on a bike like that. JCI!!! Raf
1:40:2616-Aug-111st timetrial - trails were in good condition, low traffic, rode the 'chicken-line' on Kamikaze
1:40:5827-Jun-11Great weather and excellent trail conditions with absolutely no one in sight. Most... @ 2/3 in daylight and the rest at night. Pushed Jessica, Kamikaze and Creepy Corner in minimal and rapidly decreasing light which I strongly recommend NOT doing... unless you've got a screw lose LOL :) Run the complete trail system taking on ALL the features; logs, log piles, rockgardens, including every jump, stump, root, rock and boulder. Other than getting a big headache resulting from my head connecting with the hanging tree branch on Adam's Run and a few slide outs on Jessica I had mostly a flawless run :) One forced stop after Creepy Corner at Kamikaze to put my lights on - I stopped and restarted my timer accordingly. There's a good few extra seconds included in my TT due to my fumbling with the timer buttons Ha ha! They're even smaller in the dark :) Happy Trails! Just Crank It!!!
1:45:0018-Jun-11No traffic, middle of the day, not pushing too hard, just wanted to see how long it would take.
Male 50-59
1:31:007-Nov-11Trails are amazing today and was practically alone out there!
1:31:2816-Aug-11Chasing a petite blonde trail bunny the whole way. (Thanks Tracey!)
1:40:511-Nov-11Includes riding from parking lot and back to parking lot, plus three short gel stops (wasn't actually thinking about time trial) Conditions were awesome!
1:47:0010-Oct-11Great ride today, trails are perfect, fueled by turkey and pumpkin pie. Third ride this weekend. Lots of people out enjoying the trails too.
1:55:002-Oct-11Sunday morning ride, 6'C. Goal was to be under 2 hours....made it
