Hydro Cut - Volunteering
Hey, i'm just wondering what there is to do with volunteering for the hydro cut. I may be able to make it out for the 24th, but can't fully commit atm. I have pretty much any tool that would be needed multiple shovels, rakes, sledge hammers, etc and pretty much anything else that may be needed. If i wouldn't be able to make it i could drop off some tools at someones house before hand. If someone wants to let me know what would be needed that would be great. Also i MAY be able to get my hands on a chain saw, although i'm not sure what type of trail clean-up you guys are planning on doing so yeah, let me know =).
Yes. I don't know much about the chainsaw license requirements. If you have a license or are interested in getting one, you should contact Igor on the Contact Us page. I heard that removing the tree that fell across the Frankenstein switchbacks last month took about 5 hours of manual cutting. There's nothing like that required for the Trail Day though. Only fun new trail building :)

Hi Stephen,
If you're more than 50% sure that you're going to attend, please sign up for the trail day and make a note that you are 50% sure, 80% sure, etc. That will help with the planning.
If you're not attending, I wouldn't recommend dropping the tools off, unless you lend them to someone you know who can keep track of them and get them back to you.
Unfortunately, we can't use chainsaws unless we are professionally trained. It's part of our agreement with the City. Thanks anyway.
I hope to see you there! It's going to be one of the best additions to the trail and fun to be a part of.
