Ride with Lance Armstrong
Hello Everyone,
I'm new to the area and also to the club, but I'm starting to come out to the Tuesday night rides, and can't wait for some of the other club activities this coming year.
I'm also riding 120 km in the charity ride for Grand River Hospital Cancer Centre on August 28, which Lance Armstrong will be attending.
I need to raise $25,000 for the fight against cancer, and to allow me to join the ride. I wanted to respectfully ask the WCC members on here to support me, especially if you know someone who has been touched by cancer.
To submit a pledge online, or to download a pledge form to be mailed, please visit:

Many thanks for your generosity,
Steve
Hey Steve.
I remember reading your initial post as one of the first after I had joined the WCC in April, thinking about how crazy it is to raise $20.000 as an individual! Just for that, I had to sponsor you ;-)
But also, my first personal trainer got diagnosed with breast cancer about 2 years ago. She had a huge impact in my life and I wouldn't be training for triathlons today, had I not met her in 2007. She's trying to heal her cancer naturally and I'm not sure what her opinion is on conventional cancer research and treatment, but either way, it's a cause worth supporting.
Have an awesome ride on Saturday and congratulations to an impressive fund-raising success.
Chris
