Family Ride & Youth Skills Ride

Wednesday Night Family Ride

The purpose of this ride is to engage youth riders (age 8-15) and their family in the sport of mountain biking. It will be lead by experienced WCC leaders and split up into groups based on both technical skills and distance. This is a great way for family to ride together.

The main goal is to be safe and have fun while getting an introduction to the great trail system we have in our backyards. We will never leave a rider behind!

Anyone participating in this ride must be a member of the Waterloo Cycling Club. See, Membership. There is no additional cost to participate in this ride. All riders need to have a mountain bike in good working order, a helmet, and something to drink that they can carry with them on their ride.

Weather permitting the rides happen weekly starting promptly at 6:30pm. Our meeting location is the upper portion of the parking lot at the Glasgow St entrance to the Hydrocut trails unless an alternate is designated for that week (please check the Ride with GPS event for any changes). Please check the website or follow the WCC trails twitter account for updated trail conditions. This ride will be cancelled if the trails are too wet and or if there is active thunder or lightning at the start of the ride.

See, Event Planner for details of specific rides.

Thursday Youth Skills Ride:
