Your Big Ride

A rich part of the Waterloo Cycling Clubs history is a Big Ride. A Saturday ride, near the end of the road cycling season, to celebrate the great cycling we’ve all done through the summer and to raise money for a local cause.

If you ride on the road with WCC this event will be Your Big Ride! There are three distances to challenge you: 100km, 160km and 215km.

How to Register

Step 1: Join the Team on Anything for Alzheimer’s. Note: There will be a new link on the Alzheimer registration and fundraising site for 2022.

  • Add link

  • Click on “Join our Team” and follow the steps to complete your registration

  • We ask for a minimum fundraising of $200 for each rider

Step 2: RSVP on Ride with GPS - This will let us know how many people are in each group.

  • Recreation 100km

  • Intermediate 160km

  • Fast 215km

Note: Ride leaders might make minor changes to the routes in the weeks leading up to Your Big Ride

Lunch and Ride Support

Ride Support: Your Big Ride will be fully supported, including water, hydration mix and nutrition. Mechanical support throughout the ride will be provided by our awesome sponsor Velofix!

Lunch: Lunch is being served at the gazebo in Campbellville Conservation Area. Across the street is The Flying Monkey where there are washroom facilities and a cafe.

The Cause

The Waterloo Cycling Club is thrilled to partner with Alzheimer Society Waterloo Wellington. Alzheimer’s has touched many of us and the Society provides services to people living with dementia, and their families. The funds we collect will enable many people in our region to take part in the awesome Minds in Motion program! In 2018 we enabled over 40 people to participate in this program.

With three distances in 2019 we have set an ambitious fundraising goal is $15,000!
